In his book Evidence That Demands a Verdict (which I would recommend if you want more evidence on the accuracy and truth of the Bible), Josh McDowell quotes Peter Stoner (Science Speak), who calculated the chance of any man fulfilling the prophecies of the Old Testament as Jesus did, even down to the present time, to be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 (10 to the 17th power).

This includes many thing out of Jesus’ control such as where He was born, how He died and much about the events of His life. Just coincidence?

The list on the next page will enable you to open the Bible and read it for yourself as these scriptures from the Old Testament prophecy about different aspects of Jesus’ life. This list is from Josh McDowell’s website:

Not only does the Bible give prophecies about Jesus, but God made specific promises to Abraham and King David which Jesus would also fulfill. Again, I would encourage you to open the Bible and check these out for yourself:

God made promises to Abraham in approximately 1800 BC (Genesis 12:2-3, 13:14-16) which were fulfilled in Jesus (Galatians 3:8 & 16) and promises to King David in approximately 1000 BC (2 Samuel 7:12-14) which were fulfilled in Jesus (Luke 1:31-33, Matthew 16:18 and Matthew 3:17).

ARE YOU SURE ... that the Bible is just man made fairy tales?
