S7. The Invisible Building Blocks of Everything

The idea that matter is made up of tiny building blocks called atoms is a very old idea and in the 1800’s scientists began to understand that they were the building blocks of the elements.

I’m not saying that the people in Bible times understood atoms or that the Bible was even the first place for these thoughts to originate, what I am saying is that science has validated what the Bible said ... things that seem strange for the Bible to have said thousands of years ago

Hebrews 11:3

By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

According to Michael O’Connell in ‘Finding God in Science’ (p101) “Science describes the atom and its behaviour very well. However, no one but God knows how the perfection of the atom’s components can exist, created out of nothing but radiant energy. The seemingly arbitrary and finely tuned rules that dictate the atom’s discrete form and function give it stability, and reveal the work of a dependable sustaining and organising Mind.”

But it is what we just recently discovering about these atoms that is truely mind blowing and rather than disprove the Bible, seems to be pointing to scientific explanation of what the Bible says and the reality of God ... enter Quantum physics. (Link to articles on quantum physics).

ARE YOU SURE ... that the Bible is disproved by science?
