To quote Wikipedia, “DNA is is a molecule composed of two polynucleotide chains that coil around each other to form a double helix carrying genetic instructions for the development, functioning, growth and reproduction of all known organisms and many viruses.” DNA was first discovered in 1869, but it took until 1953 before it’s double helix structure was correctly identified.

These genetic instructions are commonly called the genetic code which is described in terms of language. To quote Biologist Raymond Bohlin, Ph.D (https://www.exploregod.com/articles/the-language-of-dna): “This is not just a clever use of analogous terms. These linguistic terms accurately describe what is actually happening. The genetic code is an informational code or a language; it’s even in digital form.”

The article speaks of subunits which make up DNA which are abbreviated into 4 letters which, like language are linked together to form three-letter words called codons (amino acids). The sequence of codons form our genes (proteins), like sentences which form chromosomes, likes books in the library of the genome.

So DNA can be described as carrying information giving instructions in a language to create life. This pre-programmed language speaks of intelligence and design rather than randomness ... this sounds a lot like intelligent design. Is it a coincidence that the Bible uses the language of words/language speaking of creating life?

John 1:1-3 NIV

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”

ARE YOU SURE ... that modern science is disproving God - that it is disproving an intelligence behind our creation?
